THE DARK KNIGHT has surpassed the overall gross of every other movie ever released in North America, beating the original STAR WARS movie ($460M) and totaling $471M, which is still quite a distance from the #1 movie of all-time (TITANIC @ $600M), but then again, you never really know with movies. The Dark Knight a întrecut încasãrile totale ale tuturor filmelor lansate în America de Nord, întrecând primul film Star Wars (460M$) si ajungând la un total de 471M$, dar care tot e la o distantã considerabilã de filmul #1 al tuturor timpurilor, Titanic cu 600M$. On the other hand, TDK was finally removed from the #1 spot in the weekend box-office charts by Ben Stiller’s TROPIC THUNDER, which managed a decent $26M opening (it’s grossed a total of $37M since its early release on Wednesday), to TDK’s $17M in second place.
