THE UNPLEASANT PROFESSION OF JONATHAN HOAG, a new film to be directed by THE CROW helmer Alex Proyas, centers on a man who becomes increasingly disturbed when he realizes he cannot account for his activities during the day, or what he does for a living. He shares his problem with a married set of private dicks, and their investigation leads to a series of startling revelations. The film is based on the 1942 novella of the same name written by Robert Heinlein and is being described as a complex psychological thriller with plenty of action by the film’s producers. Nevermind the title, if you’re familiar with Proyas’ previous work (DARK CITY, I, ROBOT), you know the man can direct the hell out of things, especially dark, dark things, and me I like dark things.
