Universal Pictures continua cu franciza “Fast and Furious” iar urmatorul film se va numi Fast Five. Variety spune ca, casa de productie a batut palma cu Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, regizorul Justin Lin si producatorul Neal Moritz.

Partea a 4-a, lansata anul trecut, numita simplu “Fast and Furious” a avut incasari de peste 343 milioane de dolari in toata lumea.

Chris Morgan este scenaristul filmului Fast Five, in care Dom (Diesel) si Brian (Walker) sunt fugari urmariti de oamenii legii.

Filmarile sunt pregatite sa inceapa candva in acest an iar filmul va fi lansat pe 10 iunie 2011.

Pe contul de facebook al lui Vin Diesel acesta a mai spus :

“Had a meeting with Justin Lin today regarding the Fast saga… some daring but fascinating thoughts in terms of action set pieces… and relationships, old and new.
The team is on their way to Brazil this evening, to scout, and to see what selection of cars there are.”

El a mai adaugat cate ceva si despre urmatorul film Riddick.

“Will be talking to DT (David Twohy) next week, maybe he can let me show some concept art of Riddick…”

“Heard from DT over the weekend. He is very excited about how well Europe went, and is delivering the next draft of the Riddick script this month. Nice.”

Universal Pictures is putting a fifth installment of its “Fast and Furious” franchise, with the working title of Fast Five, on the fast track. Variety says the studio has closed deals with Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, director Justin Lin and producer Neal Moritz to return.

Last year’s fourth installment was the highest-grossing “Fast and Furious” film and Universal’s top grosser of 2009, making $343 million worldwide.

Chris Morgan is writing Fast Five, in which Dom (Diesel) and Brian (Walker) are fugitives being pursued by relentless lawmen.

Filming is scheduled to begin later this year for a 2011 release.
