The Depp/Gore ticket will be running on a platform of animation, with a new Paramount computer-toon called RANGO. Depp will lend his dulcet tones to the lead character, a “household pet that goes on an adventure to discover its true self”.
The script comes from John Logan, who’s already working with Verbinski on bringing BIOSHOCK to life.
RANGO is already slotted for a March 2011 release, and ILM is handling the animation chores (they provided the lifelike tentacled visage of Davy Jones).
