War of the Worlds: Goliath este o animatie si o continuare neoficiala a filmului lui Steven Spielberg, War of the Worlds. Povestea animatiei este urmatoarea : In 1900, Pamantul este atacat de niste invadatori ai planetei Marte. Robotii tripozi martieni, de 25 de metri inaltime, incep sa ravaseasca planeta dar sunt opriti de o mica bacterie pamanteana. 14 ani mai tarziu, omul reconstruieste lumea ravasita, in mare parte utilizant tehnologia martiana capturata.
War of the Worlds: Goliath este regizat de Joe Pearson (DuckTales: The Movie, “Little Dracula”, “Rocko’s Modern Life”, si Highlander: The Search for Vengeance) iar scenariul a fost scris de David Abramowitz (“V”, “MacGyver”, “Highlander” si “Highlander: The Search for Vengeance”).
Aceasta animatie este o productie independenta Tripod Entertainment, Epoch Ink, Studio Climb si Imaginex Studios. Este pregatit sa apara pe DVD din februarie 2010.

War of the Worlds: Goliath is an animated steampunk epic and unofficial sequel to War of the Worlds. In 1900, the Earth was attacked by ruthless invaders from the planet Mars. The Martian’s 80 ft tall, heat-ray spewing, Tripod battle machines laid waste to the planet, but the invaders ultimately fell prey to Earth’s tiny bacteria. Fourteen years later, Man has rebuilt his shattered world, in part by utilizing captured Martian technology.
War of the Worlds: Goliath is directed by animator Joe Pearson, a former animation supervisor who has worked on various cartoons and past films like DuckTales: The Movie, “Little Dracula”, “Rocko’s Modern Life”, and Highlander: The Search for Vengeance. The screenplay was written by David Abramowitz, of the original “V”, “MacGyver”, “Highlander”, and Highlander: The Search for Vengeance as well. This was produced and animated independently by Tripod Entertainment, Epoch Ink, Studio Climb, and Imaginex Studios. It’s slated to hit on DVD in February next year.
