Screen Gems de la Sony, au fixat data de lansare pentru Resident Evil 5 ca fiind 14 septembrie 2012, luna in care sau lansat si ultimele 3 filme ale francizei. In aceasta continuare cu numarul 5 al francizei Resident Evil, Milla Jovovich va reveni in rolul principal.
Al patrulea film, Resident Evil: Afterlife, a fost lansat in cinematografele 3D, 2D si IMAX 3D in data de 10 septembrie 2010 si a acumulat la box-office 296.2 milioane de dolari.
Ne asteptam ca regizorul Paul W.S. Anderson sa se intoarca dar nu este nimic declarat oficial pana acum.

Sony’s Screen Gems has set a release date for Resident Evil 5. The fifth installment, again starring Milla Jovovich, will hit theaters on September 14, 2012. The last three films in the franchise were all released in September as well.
The fourth film, Resident Evil: Afterlife, was released in 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D theaters on September 10, 2010 and earned $296.2 million at the worldwide box office.
We expect Paul W.S. Anderson will be involved again, though in which capacity is unknown right now.
