Dupa cum spune ComingSoon.net, Shia va face echipa cu producatorul Neil Burger (The Illusionist) in filmul Dark Fields, la care vor incepe filmarile in aceasta iarna in New York.
According to ComingSoon.net, Shia will be teaming up with director Neil Burger (The Illusionist) for the film Dark Fields to be shot in New York City sometime this winter.
Filmu e bazat pe o nuvela, din 2002, “The Dark Fields” scrisa de Alan Glynn. Poveste filmului este despre un tanar care pune mana pe o pastila secreta care ii ofera abilitatea de a fi foarte inteligent si rapid. Superpastila se pare, insa, ca are efecte secundare care includ dureri puternice de cap si un fenomen numit “tripla-schimbare” care are ca efect oprirea timpului. Burger incearca sa ne explice ca, conceptul filmului lui nu este de natura fictiva. El spune :
“E mai mult ca viagra sau steroizii, cu efect de a te face foarte inteligent si rapid dar, nu fara a suporta efectele secundare si consecintele acestora.”

The movie is based on the 2002 novel “The Dark Fields” written by Alan Glynn. It’s the story of a young man who gets a hold of a top-secret pill with the ability to make a person smarter. The beauties of the pill begin to overshadow its negative side effects, which include terrible headaches and a phenomenon called “trip-switching” during which time moves in a stop-motion-like manner. Burger explains the concept is not of a science fiction nature,
“it’s more like if there’s viagra or steroids, why isn’t there something that increases your synaptic connections and makes you think smarter and faster, but it’s not without side effects and consequences.”
According to IMDB the film isn’t due until 2010.
