REX MUNDI, a project being produced and possibly starred in by Johnny Depp (is this true? Umm sure, why not), is now looking for a director after having had Jim Uhls (FIGHT CLUB) complete a first draft.
The story – originally a comic book from Dark Horse – is a quest for the Holy Grail told as a murder mystery. It is set in the year 1933, in an alternate history Europe, where magic is real, feudalism persisted, and the Protestant Reformation was crushed by a still politically powerful Roman Catholic Church. Depp purchased the rights to the comic book back in 2006.
