Scrisã de Ed Brubaker, seria se concentreazã pe un agent a cãrui fuziune cu un artifact extraterestru îl face imun la durere si îi permite sã transmitã puterea si altora prin contact. Acesta e trimis sub acoperire într-o organizatie criminalã de cãtre o agentie de informatii, dar se îndrãgosteste de o membrã a grupãrii. Se pare cã pe cei de la studiourile Warner Bros. îi intereseazã sã transforme seria într-o francizã, lucru care are si sens. Sam Raimi se pricepe la adaptat serii de benzi desenate, iar la câte critici a suportat în presã în ultima vreme, dl Cruise e în mod clar imun la durere.
In what could be another bold attempt to revive his once staggering career, Tom Cruise is reportedly in talks with one Sam Raimi to bring the DC Comics/Wildstorm comic “Sleeper” to the big screen, with Cruise set to star. Written by Ed Brubaker, the series centers on an operative whose fusion with an alien artifact makes him impervious to pain and allows him to pass it on to others through skin contact. He is placed undercover in a villainous organization by an intelligence agency and falls for a member of the group. Appraently Warner Bros. is interested in establishing this as a legitimate franchise , which when you think about it makes perfect sense. Sam Raimi obviously knows comic book adaptations, and with all the crap he’s taken in the press over the last few years coupled with his unflinching resolve, Mr. Cruise is clearly impervious to pain.
