Australia is both co-written and directed by Australian filmmaker Baz Luhrmann of Moulin Rouge! and Romeo + Juliet previously. Other high profile screenwriters Ronald Harwood (The Pianist, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly), Stuart Beattie (Collateral, Pirates of the Caribbean, G.I. Joe), and Richard Flanagan (The Sound of One Hand Clapping) have been involved with elements of the script as well. Fox is debuting Australia in theaters everywhere on November 14th this fall.
