Legendary Pictures si Warner Bros au anuntat oficial ca incep lucrul la un nou film bazat pe legendarul monstru Godzilla, care a terorizat pentru prima oara orasul Tokyo in 1954, prin Toho Studios.
Inca nu se stie cine se va ocupa de scenariu si asteptam sa fim anuntati de catre WB si Legendary care va fi regizorul care se va ocupa de noul Godzilla, film programat sa apara candva in anul 2012.
Monstrul a mai fost reinviat de catre Dean Devlin si Roland Emmerich in 1998, de data asta monstrul terorizand New York-ul, cu un succes de box-office de 379 milioane de dolari in toata lumea.

Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros officially announced today that they are starting to develop and all new movie based on the iconic movie monster Godzilla, which first terrorized Tokyo for the first time over 50 years ago in 1954, courtesy of Toho Studios. Though no writer is mentioned yet, WB and Legendary hope to announce a director to helm the new Godzilla imminently with a look to release the film sometime in 2012.
