Dupa ultimul film Ghost of Mars, lansat in 2001, John Carpenter (Assault on Precinct 13, Halloween, The Thing, Escape From New York, si Big Trouble in Little China) revine cu un nou film de gen in care rolul principal il va avea Amber Heard (Pinneaple Express).
In acest thriller psihologic, The Ward, Amber Heard joaca rolul unei femei, internata intr-un spital de boli mintale, care e bantuita de fantome.
Filmarile sunt pregatite sa incepa incepand cu luna mai, de catre casa de productie Echo Lake Entertainment, iar Peter Block (seria Saw) va fi producatorul si finantatorul peliculei.

The man behind such cult classics as Assault on Precinct 13, Halloween, The Thing, Escape From New York, and Big Trouble in Little China, known best as John Carpenter, will finally return to directing after 8 years with a film called The Ward. The psychological thriller will star Amber Heard as a young woman in a mental institution who is terrorized by a ghost. Obviously there’s probably going to be a lot more to the story than just that, but that’s all that was revealed at this time. Shooting is scheduled to begin in May, with Echo Lake Entertainment and Saw series’ Peter Block producing and financing.
