Exista o poveste, de prin 2008, in care se zvonea ca se va face un film adaptare a seriei de nuvele scrise de Diana Gabaldon pe nume “Outlander”. Fanii au discutat despre posibilul casting si detalii despre film, de ceva vreme, iar acum se aude ceva, pentru prima oara.
Intr-un interviu recent cu NY Times (prin The Playlist) actrita Katherine Heigl (Killers) a precizat o idee cum ca ar interpreta un rol in filmul Outlander.

Outlander este prima din cele sase nuvele, si incepe in 1945 cu Claire Randall o bona engleza care aflata intr-o luna de miere in Scotia este transportata inapoi in timp in anul 1743 unde are parte de multe aventuri si romantism. Este o serie de nuvele foarte populare, cu multi fani si este descrisa ca fiind
“filled with adventure, religion, and human conscience.”
Exista si un scenarist, Randall Wallace, dar pana acum nici urma de vreun regizor si e posibil ca cei responsabili de film sa fie Essential Pictures.
Nu este nimic oficial despre rolul lui Heigl dar macar este ceva nou legat de acest proiect.

As a recap for anyone who doesn’t know, Outlander, the first in a six novel series, starts in 1945 and follows Claire Randall, an English nurse who while on honeymoon in Scotland is transported back in time to 1743 where she ends up in a series of adventures and romance. It’s a very popular series, with a lot of fans, that’s “filled with adventure, religion, and human conscience.” They already have a writer, Randall Wallace, but no director, and Essential Pictures is apparently casting, too.This is not confirmation that Heigl has the role, but it is at least a tiny amount of forward progress in this adaptation.
