Nominalizatul Oscar® Eddie Murphy, actor de filme, seriale și stand-up, va fi prezentator al Academy Awards în data de 26 februarie 2012, show produs de Brett Ratner și Don Mischer. Este pentru prima oară când Murphy prezintă Oscarurile®.

Academy Awards ale anului 2011 vor avea loc în data de 26 februarie 2012 la Kodak Theatre în Hollywood & Highland Center și va fi transmisîn direct de ABC Television Network. Oscarurile vor fi transmise în mai bine de 200 de țări în toată lumea.

Brett Ratner a renunțat la producția Oscarurilor datorită unor neînțelegeri iar Eddie Murphy, ce a jucat în filmul Tower Heist al cărui regizor este Ratner, s-a retras și el.
