The Education of Charlie Banks is directed by North Carolina native Fred Durst, singer for Limp Bizkit and director of The Longshots last year. The screenplay was written by Peter Elkoff, who made his feature debut writing this script. The Education of Charlie Banks first premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival way back in 2007 where it went on to win the “Made in NY” award at the fest. Anchor Bay Entertainment eventually picked it up and is finally putting the film out in limited theaters starting on March 27th this year.
