Paramount Pictures a anuntat ca a inceput productia filmului lui Steven Spielberg, The Adventures of Tin Tin: Secret of the Unicorn.
Jamie Bell va interpreta rolul principal, cel al lui TinTin, care este un tanar reporter prins intr-o aventura, iar in rolul negativ, cel al piratului Red Rackham va juca Daniel Craig. In film mai evolueaza si Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Gad Elmaleh, Toby Jones si Mackenzie Crook. Scenariul este scris de Edgar Wright si Joe Cornish.
TinTin va fi filmat in “motion capture”, adica actorii vor fi imbracati din cap pana in picioare in albastru, si vor avea atasat de ei niste senzori. Aceasta tehnologie s-a mai folosit si in filmele-animate Beowulf si Polar Express.
Deja s-a discutat si de o continuare care va fi regizata de Peter Jackson si posibil si o a treia parte la care vor face echia la regie amandoi, Peter Jackson si Steven Spielberg.
The Adventures of TinTin: Secret of the Unicorn este datat sa apara pe ecranele 3D din anul 2011.

Paramount Pictures announced today that production has begun on Steven Spielberg’s next film THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN: SECRET OF THE UNICORN. Jamie Bell has signed on to star as Tintin, the young reporter caught up in a big adventure, while Daniel Craig will play the villainous pirate Red Rackham. They join the previously cast Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Also joining the cast are Gad Elmaleh, Toby Jones and Mackenzie Crook. The announcement also revealed that Edgar Wright co-wrote the script with Joe Cornish (Wright’s planned co-writer for ANT MAN).
TINTIN will be filming in the popular motion capture format, which requires actors to wear those blue suits with ping-pong balls all over them (think BEOWULF and THE POLAR EXPRESS).
A sequel has already been mapped out with Peter Jackson set to direct. If all goes well with those films, Jackson and Spielberg will team to co-direct the third film in the trilogy. SECRET OF THE UNICORN is currently set for a 3-D release in 2011.
