Inspirata de succesul care il are continuarea francizei Friday the 13th, casa de productie Warner Brothers au decis sa faca un remake dupa nuvela It al lui Stephen King.
Versiunea filmului It din 1990 a fost declarata una din cele mai infricosatoare filme create pentru televiziune. Lin Pictures si Vertigo Entertainment se ocupa de noua versiune care va fi o adaptare dupa nuvele originala scrisa de Stephen King. Dave Kajganich ( The Invasion and Creek, si urmatorea adaptare ce urmeaza sa apara la Pet Sematary) va scrie scenariul.
Pentru prima oara publicata in 1986, cartea Stephen King’s It era despre un grup de pusti numiti The Losers Club care dau peste o creatura pe nume It, care este interesata de copii, si cea mai preferata infatisare a sa este cea de clovn care are si un nume, si anume Pennywise (rol jucat de Tim Curry in filmul din 1990). Atunci cand afla vestea reaparitiei creaturii, pustii sunt reuniti din nou, de data aceasta ca adulti. Chiar daca nuvela se petrece intre anii 1958 si 1985, remake-ul va avea loc in vremurile noastre.

Inspired by the success of the Friday the 13th reboot, Warner Brothers has decided to remake Stephen King’s It for the big screen. The 1990 version of It (that was actually made for TV) has often been referred to as one of the scariest movie of all-time. Lin Pictures and Vertigo Entertainment are developing this new version as a fresh adaptation from Stephen King’s original novel. Dave Kajganich, of The Invasion and Creek as well as the upcoming Pet Sematary remake, will write the script.
First published in 1986, Stephen King’s It follows a group of kids called the Losers Club that encounter a creature called It, which preys on children and whose favorite form is that of a sadistic clown called Pennywise (played by Tim Curry in the original). When the creature resurfaces, the kids are called upon to regroup again, this time as adults, even though they have no memory of the first battle. While the novel was set in 1958 and 1985, this remake will be set in the present day.
