Daniel Craig va juca in filmul lui David Fincher, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, bazat pe trilogia thriller numita “The Millennium Series” scrisa de Stieg Larsson. Trilogia “The Millenium Series” contine filmele The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire si The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets’ Nest, ultimele doua parti urmand sa fie adaptate de Fincher cu Daniel Craig in rolul principal.
Adaptarea lui Steve Zaillian, numita “Dragon Tattoo” descrie misterul disparitiei unei mostenitoare, cu mult timp in urma. Jurnalistul Mikael Blomkvist (Craig), investigheaza disparatia impreuna cu o tipa experta in calculatoare Lisbeth Salander incercand sa rezolve cazul. Nu se stie inca cine va juca rolul Salander.
Scott Rudin este producatorul adaptarii numite mai simplu “Dragon Tatoo,” iar Columbia Pictures va lansa filmul incepand cu data de 21 decembrie 2011.
Adaptarea dupa carte a regizorului suedez Niels Arden Oplev, in care rolul principal il detine Noomi Rapace, a avut incasari de 101.7 milioane de dolari in toata lumea, urmat apoi de The Girl Who Played with Fire, care a acumulat incasari de 54 de milioane de dolari. Partea a treia, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets’ Nest, inca nu a fost lansata.
Craig lucreaza, in prezent, impreuna cu Jon Favreau la filmul Cowboys & Aliens.

Daniel Craig will star in David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, based on Stieg Larsson’s posthumously published crime thriller trilogy, “The Millennium Series.” The deal includes two sequels based on The Girl Who Played with Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets’ Nest.
Adapted by Steve Zaillian, “Dragon Tattoo” describes the mystery surrounding the long-unsolved disappearance of an heiress. Journalist Mikael Blomkvist (Craig), recently dinged by a libel case, and young female hacker Lisbeth Salander try to resolve it, stirring up bundles of personal and industrial corruption along the way. The role of Salander has not been cast yet.
Scott Rudin is producing “Dragon Tatoo,” which Columbia Pictures will release on December 21, 2011.
Director Niels Arden Oplev’s Swedish adaptation of the book, starring Noomi Rapace, has earned an impressive $101.7 million worldwide.
