Avand premiera in cinematografe din 26 martie 2010, in actiunea-aventura regizata de Louis Leterriervor avea roluri Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Danny Huston, Gemma Arterton, Mads Mikkelsen, Jason Flemyng, Alexa Davalos, Izabella Miko, Nicholas Hoult si Pete Postlethwaite.
In film, intr-o lupta pentru putere oamenii ataca regii, regii se ridica impotriva zeilor, iar acestia pornesc o lupta intre ei, lupta ce ar putea distruge omenirea. Fiu al unui zeu dar crescut ca fiinta umana, Perseus (Worthington) incearca sa-si salveze familia de Hades (Fiennes), razbunatorul zeu din lumea cealalta. Fara a avea nimic de pierdut, Perseus se ofera voluntar sa conduca o misiune periculoasa pentru a-l invinge pe tiranul Hades inainte de a fi imputernicit de Zeus (Neeson) si a aduce iadul pe Pamant. La conducerea unui grup de luptatori, Perseus porneste intr-o calatorie, adanc in lumile interzise. Luptand cu demoni si creaturi inspaimantatoare, el va supravietui doar daca-si accepta puterea ca zeu, sa-si invinga soarta si sa-si creeze propriul destin.

In the film, the ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world.
